“Failure is blindness to the strategic element in events; success is readiness for instant action when the opportune moment arrives.”  – Newell D. Hillis.

When you only commit to the people and things that are important to you, your family or your career, the results are that your relationships will greatly improve. This will help you achieve your goals more easily and in turn will make you live a much happier life.

Therefore, committing to improving your relationships will largely determine the quality of your life.

This website has become a huge part of my life. It is one of my most treasured assets. Most of the things I do are tailored to have a trickle down effect to the improvement of this website.

I am committing my time and efforts to seeing the improvement and total transformation of the content on a regular basis. The relationship I have built with it, over a period of time makes me want to do even more. Such is the commitment I have pledged to seeing this website succeed.

However, committing to the success of it has not come easy. It has come at a great cost. I have had to pay the price of cutting down on so many activities and dedicated my efforts and energy to this cause.

Cause change and lead; accept change and survive; resist change and die” – Ray Norda.

Our lives are not determined by what happens to us, but how we react to what happens; not what life brings to us, but the attitude that we  bring to life. A positive attitude causes a chain reaction of positive thoughts, events and outcomes. It is a catalyst a spark that creates extraordinary results.

By committing to the improvement of generating valuable content, I have learnt so many things in the process, and have seen my writing skills improve. If you have been following my site you will realise that there is an improvement in the presentation and quality of the content.

I know that there is still a lot of room for improvement and I will surely keep pushing until I get there. For as long as the commitment is alive this will be one of the first go to sites for personal growth and self-improvement.

This year I would like to generate more content, published on a regular basis. This means doubling my efforts and improving further on my writing skills. Currently it is taking me longer than I would like, to generate content.

I would like to reduce on the amount of time it takes me to write and publish an article, without compromising on the quality of the content. So far I think am on the right track. Last year I learned to write down ideas as they pop. This has helped me keep track of them.

This has seen me write down more ideas than I can imagine. Currently I have more than 33 ideas that need to be translated into articles and published. This is more than a month of content if I have to write and post an article every day. And the list keeps growing rapidly.

What has lagged behind is the capacity to convert the ideas into content. This is now the area am working on to improve. Lets hope that a formula will be quickly devised that can help propel me to translate the ideas into content on a much more regular basis.

If you have noticed, my articles have gradually increased in length to average 1000 words. This is a deliberate policy and standard I have put in place. In fact it is my intention to increase the length even further, so as to fully give me an opportunity to drive my point.

Perhaps this is one of the major reasons that I has caused me to lag behind in delivering content on a regular basis. The policy to ensure that every article being published meets the minimum standard set.

To help speed up the process of improving my writing skills, am taking lessons from Writing 101: Building a Blogging Habit” this little e-book has been an eye opener. It has taught me many things such as practicing to write on a daily basis.

Lets hope that the knowledge gained from it will be put to practice for the eventual benefit of the website visitors.

There are many benefits to be derived when you are committed to a cause. It entails dedication, ability to work hard and bear infinite fortitude. The trust you develop will surely not go without being repaid. The world gives you back what you give it.

Committing to a cause will ensure that you give your very best. Because you are committed and believe in the cause you will surely take time to do your best. When you give your best the best comes back to you. The bible says that one gives freely, yet gains much more.

Committing to this website has helped change my life. I have seen myself grow not just in years but also in character. Look, because I believe in what am doing I enjoy. Yes sometimes I have no motivation or inspiration to write but I still do something that helps to improve my well being.

Conclusion

I would like to encourage you to make a serious commitment to any cause that you believe in. It could be your family; a charity or indeed your career. Committing to a just cause will surely help you discover many aspects of your life that you would have not known about.

I know that there are many things that you can dedicate your life to. Find something that really matters to you and give it try. Success is committing to give your best no matter what the circumstances. “Commit yourself to a- dream. Nobody who tries to do something great, but fails, is a total failure. Why? Because he can always be assured that he succeeded in life’s
most important battle; he defeated the battle of not trying
” Robert H. Schullera.

“Within each of us lies the power of our consent to health and sickness, to riches and poverty, to freedom and to slavery. It is we who control these, and not another” – Richard Bach. “It is not good for all our wishes to be filled; through sickness we recognize the value of health; through evil, the value of good; through hunger, the value of food; through exertion, the value of rest” – Greek Proverb.

Most of us are living life good or bad without paying much attention to our health and well being. We mostly do not pay attention to it because we think it is a given, that everyone is enjoying good health. During the earlier years of my life I did not pay so much attention to what I ate neither did I pay attention to many little things that affected my health and well-being. This was because my immunity could handle many ailments without much difficulties.

Now that am in my mid forties and even though am still at the peak with my well being, I have noticed a lot of changes with my body. One particular observation I have made is the slow digestion of food. What has really helped me is the regime of exercising on a regular basis. I encourage you to take exercising seriously and recommend at least twice a week as a minimum.

Now, am not an expert on health issues but I only write my personal experiences. You may not realise or agree with me that maintaining a good healthy and balanced body is very key to your personal growth and success. I believe it is very difficult to achieve success when you have to worry so much about the state of your health. Therefore, I encourage you to maintain a healthy and balanced behaviour. I know for a fact that most of the common illnesses are as a result of personal neglect and not just taking good care of our bodies. If you are blessed with good health please ensure that you develop a deliberate personal habit to prolong your good health. I also know that it is never too late to change and develop good healthy habits.

Watch What You Eat and Drink

As I mentioned before that in my earlier stages of my life I did not care so much about my health habits. I ate what ever came my way and fortunately my body was doing quite well and did not put on so much weight. But I have problems with my teeth. Now in my mid forties I have to watch what I eat. This is because at this stage in my life my digestion system is beginning to slow down. Some of the habits that I have totally discontinued is the consumption of alcoholic beverages. I have also greatly reduced on the intake of carbonated drinks. “The only way to keep your health is to eat what you don’t want, drink what you don’t like, and do what you’d rather not” – Mark Twain.

I may not recommend exactly what you should eat but I believe that we must all ensure to eat a good healthy and balanced diet, full of natural foods and less processed foods. Try as much as possible to incorporate a lot of green vegetables and fruits in your daily diet. Remember to also drink lots of water. The recommended is six glasses of water per day. Reduce on the intake of red meat and processed sugar. Especially if you are hitting your forties, red meat takes a long time to digest.

Physical Exercising is Very Important

I know that we human beings do not like making our bodies sweat. Eating a good diet alone will not necessarily help you achieve optimum good health. Coupled with your good eating habits should be a good exercising regime. To keep the body in good health is a duty otherwise we shall not be able to keep our mind strong and clear.

I personally have a routine for exercising on a regular basis. The thing with exercising is that the first few days when you embark on it, its quiet daunting and tiring. But after a few times you get used and it becomes interesting. Do not punish yourself but start slowly. Do what suits you. Your body was meant to work. I go for road run three times a week. When not running I try by all means to walk as much as I can. It is very refreshing for me. Over time I have discovered that exercising in the morning works well for me. It keeps my mind alert and my body is full of energy the whole day.

Physical exercising helps me to increase my water consumption. It also helps me unwind my mind. Ever since I embarked on regular jogging my digestion system has greatly improved. I have also learned over the years not to take my good health for granted. That is why I try by all means to do the right things. “Health is the greatest gift, contentment the greatest wealth, faithfulness the best relationship” – Buddha.

Conclusion

There are many ways to keep our bodies in good health and shape. Remember that the longer you enjoy good health the more you will concentrate on enjoying your life. They say your health is your wealth. “It is health that is real wealth and not pieces of gold and silver” – Mohandas Gandhi.

Good health does not stay for ever you need to ensure that you prolong it as much as possible. Our greatest happiness does not depend on the condition of life in which chance has placed us, but is always the result of a good conscience, good health, occupation, and freedom in all just pursuits. I believe that life is worth living healthily. If you do not have a healthy living habit I encourage you to develop one that works for you. Bye and remember to stay safe and healthy.
