Develop the Right Mental Attitude for you to Succeed

“Nothing can stop the man with the right mental attitude from achieving his goal; nothing on earth can help the man with the wrong mental attitude” ~ Thomas Jefferson. “If you don’t like something, change it, if you cannot change it, change your attitude” ~ Maya Angelou. Attitude isn’t quite everything when it concerns being successful, but attitude plays a part in almost every phase of your life. A pitiful attitude gets more individuals fired than any other single factor, and a good attitude gets individuals, jobs and helps them keep those jobs more than any other factor.

Your attitude has a bearing on many individuals in your life, from your family to the stranger you smile at on the streets. Your mental attitude is especially important when you face apparently hopeless situations like losing a job; losing a spouse; losing a close family member, or losing a close friend. Your mental attitude towards the above situations will largely determine the way and how you will move forward. In the same way your mental attitude has a direct bearing on your personal development and success.

There are at least 2 ways to view your life and surroundings. You can either choose; being a pessimist, who seeks difficulty in every opportunity or; being an optimist who seeks opportunity in every difficulty. The mental attitude of a pessimist is rather lukewarm. He has a mentality of just looking at the opportunities and not seeing the opportunity. Whereas the optimist sees the opportunity even in a negative situation. The optimist takes the right action when he sees the opportunity whereas the pessimist looks at the opportunity and procrastinates. Most of the people who complain too much are more inclined to being pessimists.

Regrettably, many people look only at the trouble and do not see the opportunity that lies inside the problem. Many employees complain about the difficultness of their jobs, for instance, not realizing that if the job were easy, the employer would hire somebody with less ability at a lower wage. A little coin can hide even the sun if you hold the coin close enough to your eye. So when you get too close to your troubles to think objectively about them, try to keep in mind how your vision can be blocked, take a step back, and view the situation from a fresh angle. Look up rather than down. Encourage yourself, by doing something that will energise your thoughts. Create the right atmosphere for the right mental attitude.

Pessimism muddies up the water of opportunity. Anytime a fresh innovation appears promising to make life easier, somebody always complains that it will take the jobs of individuals. When Eli Whitney invented the cotton gin, objectors said that it would put thousands of individuals out of work. Rather, the invention made the production of cloth much cheaper, and millions of individuals could afford more clothing, which created infinite jobs. When the computer was devised, folks believed that individuals would lose their jobs. Some individuals have had to retrain themselves to stay sellable, but almost everybody agrees that computers have created — not deleted — jobs and have improved our capabilities are now boundlessly.

You can’t do anything to alter the fact that a problem exists, but you can do a good deal to find the opportunity within that problem. You’re guaranteed a better tomorrow by doing your best today and formulating a plan of action for the tomorrows that lie ahead. Just remember to sustain a positive mental attitude so that, as you plan for tomorrow, you’re doing so with the sense of anticipation that produces substantially better results. The most successful people have developed the right mental attitude. You cannot succeed if you have a mind and attitude of a pessimist. Having the right attitude involves you taking the right steps and directions. It is not easy to develop the right attitude without constantly reminding yourself about what your life’s purpose is.

Conclusion
There are many ways you can use to develop the right attitude for your success. You hold the keys to your own destiny. What you do; how you do it; where you do it; has a huge influence on your future success. Developing the right mental attitude is therefore key to your success.

There is satisfaction in doing the right thing

Motivational Quotes

Cease to ask what the morrow will bring forth, and set down as gain each day that Fortune grants” – Horace.

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” – Mark Twain.

Happiness does not consist in pastimes and amusements but in virtuous activities.” ~ Aristotle. “When I do good, I feel good. When I do bad, I feel bad. That is my religion.” ~ Abraham Lincoln. There is a natural rebound of contentment and a sense of  accomplishment when you choose to do what’s right in each and every situation. The choice is between you and you. The right thing may not be the most convenient or easy, but when we face the truth, and act, we are building strength of character. Take whatever pains necessary to do what ought to be done because this is the way to living a good, decent, honorable life. With free will, each and every one of us must be responsible for our clean conscience.

When you accept the challenge to do the morally correct thing, to show compassion and to stay the course, often times you are rewarded just by having done the right thing. Every day we have a fresh opportunity to make good choices that will reward us in the act of doing what is appropriate. Try to always make the true choice in big and little areas of your life. Remember you are building character, every day and your choices are a big part of it.

If you are used to doing good you will agree with me that you are leaving a fairly satisfactory life and I can bet you are a happy person. I am not writing to condemn anyone but to encourage you to make a choice of doing the right thing even when it does not suite your current situation. This does not mean that I am perfect but I try as much as possible to make the right choices. I have realized that every time I think that I have made the correct choice there is a great sense of satisfaction and happiness.

Maybe I used to be like you always in the habit of making wrong decisions and choices, some of them deliberate just to suite me or get me out in a difficult situation. Well there is always a beginning to turn things around. You see the choices and decisions we make have a direct bearing on our character. “We are weaving character every day, and the way to weave the best character is to be kind and to be useful. Think right, act right; it is what we think and do that makes us what we are.” ~ Elbert Hubbard.

I believe we are all worthy but life’s rewards have to be earned. With such rewards comes a deep sense of integrity. We feel humble, blessed, and glad we chose rightly and did such a good job. We feel stronger, more self-reliant, and more dignified when we bravely face what we must do. We should take great satisfaction in doing the right things for our family and friends. But a most important thing to keep in mind is to be sure we make wise and wonderful choices for ourselves. Life is meant to be enjoyed and sometimes this comes with a little sacrifice.

Your choices and decisions must not only suite your family and friends but must be the correct ones. They must be decisions that have been made in good faith and based on love. Together, you and I can help change the world for the better by the choices we make and decisions we follow. Change starts with your mind and transformed in to reality.

Conclusion
Be the change you want the world to see and strive to make the right choices and decisions for your life. Making the right and correct decisions can be a source of happiness and refreshing to your mind and soul. We should choose to never bend the truth. The choices we make through rigorous discipline expand us, elevate us, and confirm all the good that is our essence. When we follow the right to the end, we’ll always feel satisfied and we’ll be in good company. “I will follow the right even to the fire but avoiding the fire if possible” ~ Montaigne.  Remember to always “standout tall and be counted”.
